Colin Buchanan Debuts as Good Neighbour with ‘Little Know It All’ Featuring Logan Richard
Last week, Colin Buchanan was named the Producer of the Year at the 2021 Music PEI Awards, which should come as a surprise to no one. He’s turned out some top-notch award-winning albums for several east coast bands over the last couple of years, including KINLEY, Coyote, Quiet Parade, Logan Richard. He’s also performed as both member of the ECMA-winning and general pop champions Paper Lions, and the acclaimed shoegaze dream pop band Sorrey.
His solo work, however, usually has him nestled in behind someone else. As Good Neighbour, Buchanan has just released a debut single, “Little Know It All” that features rising star Logan Richard, and the indie-pop track goes out of its way to show off his production skills. Canadian Folk Music Awards Leans Into the Stream, Announces 2021 Performers

They’ve just announced a six-event CFMA Awards Week program featuring musicians from across the country and it’s entirely free to take in. Noah Malcolm Weighs a Life in Toronto Against Returning to His Hometown on Prince Edward Island With ‘City/Country (Live at the Sound Mill)’
The dedication Noah Malcolm makes on his latest single reads, “To anyone who has ever left home, wherever that is.” It’s a concept that seems so arbitrary and yet often forms a large pillar of our identities; that any place, whether through some quirk of our birth or years of familiarity, becomes the preferred context of our existence.
For Noah Malcolm, at least since 2015, that had been Toronto. But the Prince Edward Island-born musician has recently and unexpectedly found his way back to the east coast. It’s made him reconsider where he calls home and, inevitably, he’ll have to say goodbye to one of them. Logan Richard is having a bit of a moment. Over the weekend, he took home the Music PEI Award for Maritime Electric Lloyd Doyle New Artist of the Year for “Everyday,” a single from his yet-to-be-released self-titled album.
