Picaroons announced today that after a lengthy legal battle they have ceased production of one of their craft beers. For eleven years their Dark & Stormy Night certified organic dark wheat beer has been a mainstay, not only in the Picaroons line-up, but in the east coast craft brewing cornucopia. Nationwide Collaborative Brew Includes Beers For Each Province
Canada is celebrating its 150th year of confederation this year. Are you familiar with Canada? Good. Now let me tell you a story about how all that came to happen. Canada is a beautiful and majestic land. It’s also very big. You wouldn’t want to Terry Fox your way across it with a satchel of grain on your back, which is exactly how the people of British Columbia explained it to Parliament, more or less, at their proposal of Confederation. And so, a promise was made to construct a railway that spanned the breadth of the land; a railway that would carry supplies and immigrants from east to west, unifying the country, and practically define the rim of America’s hat. Picaroons Has Bigger Plans For New Brunswick
This week Picaroons is opening the newest of its locations in Saint John. The new brewtique will offer a selection of beer, produced locally, as well as operating as something best described as an artisanal general store.
