This year has been one of fundamental change for regional theatre cornerstone Neptune Theatre, having them pivot their approach to content with their new digital platform, Neptune At Home. Atlantic Canadians Receive 15 Nominations for 2021 Canadian Folk Music Awards
Of the 100 nominations across 19 different categories announced for the 2021 Canadian Folk Music Awards announced today, 15 went to Atlantic Canadians. While Pharis & Jason Romero (Horsefly, BC) led the way, taking a whopping 6 nominations, and the legendary William Prince (Winnipeg, MB) received 5, The East Pointers found their way into third place, with nominations in the categories of Contemporary Album of the Year, Contemporary Singer of the Year, Pushing the Boundaries, and Single of the Year. Beverly Glenn-Copeland Honoured with Polaris Heritage Prize
Beverly Glenn-Copeland has had a rollercoaster of a year- plans for a world tour fell through due to the pandemic and turned into a housing hunt for the New Brunswick artist. But it wasn’t all downsides, as a retrospective compilation, Transmissions: The Music of Beverly Glenn-Copeland, was released in September.
