Evolve Loses Tea Hive Harm Reduction Workers for 2019 Festival

With the release of a public statement on their Facebook page, the Tea Hive Collective have announced that 2019 will be the first year in a decade that they will not be setting up at Evolve. Since 2009, the Tea Hive Collective  have operated with a focus on harm reduction at music festivals throughout Atlantic Canada by providing a safe place and plenty of tea. Among the many things noted in the East Coast Music Association’s report Striking A New A-Chord: Recommendations for the Growth and Development of Canada’s East Coast Music Industry is the region’s dire need for industry infrastructure. That includes a alarming lack of music publishing companies, agents, publicists, managers, and more. One of New Brunswick’s music scene regulars stepped in to help that gap. The Capital Complex: Fredericton Venue Under New Ownership

Fredericton’s longstanding bar and music venue of choice, The Capital Complex, will be coming under new ownership. The venue announced tonight that Zach Atkinson, the general manager of the last ten years will be assuming ownership of the establishment with an evening celebration as they ring in their own New Year on January 3rd.
