Halifax is Burning: Award-Winning Radio Show Goes Out on a High Note
Ten years since the award-winning radio show and podcast Halifax is Burning first hit the airwaves on CKDU 88.1FM, host Trevor Murphy is retiring the show. He’s not about to let the show go out without a bang though. Although the show had its final live broadcast earlier this Fall, Murphy is planning one final hurrah for Halifax is Burning. East Coast Music Association Announces Mary Walsh as 2020 Awards Show Host
This morning the East Coast Music Association announced the host of their 2020 Music Awards Show and Conference in St. John’s, NL. Continuing in their tradition of handing over the MC duties to a comedian – one that has included The Trailer Park Boys, Jonny Harris, James Mullinger and Jonathan Torrens – this year the ECMAs will be hosted by none other than Newfoundlander Mary Walsh. Knotty by Nature Cancelled by Hurricane Dorian
Knotty by Nature, the annual music festival held on the grounds of The Ovens Natural Park in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, was scheduled to take place on September 7th, but nature* had other plans in mind. With Hurricane Dorian heading up the Atlantic Seaboard, festival organizers have pulled the plug on what would have been the festival’s 7th year.
