Tim Baker, Wintersleep Lead 2020 East Coast Music Award Nominations

The East Coast Music Association announced their 2020 ECMA nominees, with Tim Baker and Wintersleep leading the way with seven nominations each. Right behind them are The East Pointers with six, followed by Ria Mae, Neon Dreams, and Rich Aucoin with five nominations, and Jenn Grant and Villages with four. Single: Soap Opera Go Chic and Sophisticated on ‘Tension Mountain’

Soap Opera are exploring their softer side on their upcoming EP, Be Fine. “Tension Mountain,” the second single to be released from the EP, has the St John’s-based psych-rock band rounding out the corners – interlacing a fuzz-fuelled guitar solo over a deep groove. Following up on their distinctly upbeat 2017 release, India, the track is a clear indicator of the band’s versatility as more than a one-trick pony.
