Premiere: PINEO & LOEB Cover Arcade Fire’s ‘The Suburbs’ Ft. Bowen

PINEO & LOEB took a crack at reworking some serious tunes on their last album, Elevation, with some amazing results. In most cases they were already facing a where-do-we-go-from-here situation – trying to improve upon hits that arguably couldn’t be improved upon. Amidst the series of chart toppers to grace Elevation was the newer (though nearly a decade old) “The Suburbs,” Arcade Fire’s track from their 2010 album of the same name. Short and sweet, Halifax avant-rock trio Fungus, are following up their 2018 EP, D’well, with a video release for their newest single, “Waterboy.” Heavily metaphoric and pointed, the song bounces along, finding its grounding in a modern take on psychedelic surf rock. Music Video: Pineo & Loeb Have Been Toying With ‘Circles FT. Kayo’

Taken from their 2017 album, Lifeblood, “Circles” is likely the duo’s most popular track, however, there’s no unpacking this video. It’s deeper and denser than anything your subconscious can dredge up about your childhood, because at its very foundation Pineo & Loeb’s new video for “Circles ft. Kayo” is the bedrock of the 80s.
