Rick Sparkes + The Enablers, like most folks, have a bit of time on their hands. With a bit of material all ready to be pulled from Rick’s back pocket, he’s picked up a side hustle as a video direction. The DIY approach Sparkes took to their new single, “All the Gold in California,” is probably the only way it could ever be done. Filmed at home, the song has a strong streak of independence to it that balks at the idea of any sort of industry yoke. Music Video: Wordburglar Describes the Universal Constant of ‘Your Friend’s Brother’

When Wordburglar brings up “Your Friend’s Brother” there’s a good chance that you know exactly who he is talking about. The song might even be further evidence that the universe is nothing more than a poorly scripted simulation filled with cookie-cutter NPCs and recurring tropes. At least Wordburglar’s description of this character is charmingly familiar, even if it does sound like they were pulled directly from the packaging of a Garbage Pail Kid and given a decade or so to grow sweet retail. Music Video: Adam Baxter Takes a Collaborative Approach in the Midst of Isolation with ‘All My Friends’

It’s bad enough that some of us are questioning whether or not we’ll make the cut on anyone’s household bubble, but Adam Baxter’s new video for “All My Friends” takes it to the level. We’re re-opening all the trauma of the Myspace Top 8 and then some, as Baxter includes his friends from across the country, singing along in isolation solidarity.
