Erin Costelo’s Sweet Marie offered a lot as an album, most of which culminated in no less than five Nova Scotia Music Award nominations. Erin Costelo is a powerhouse. She’s won the East Coast Music Award for R&B/Soul Album Of The Year, been longer-listed for Polaris Prize, nominated for seven 2016 Music Nova Scotia Awards, was runner-up for the Folk Music Ontario – ACTRA RACS Recording of the Year Award, and made history by being the first woman to take home the 2017 Nova Scotia Music Award for the 2017 Producer Of The Year. So when she says that she was visited during aliens during the recording of her upcoming album, Sweet Marie, we’re inclined to believe her.

Music Video: Erin Costelo Announces New Album With ‘Lights Down Low’
Not one to rest on her laurels, Erin Costelo is releasing a fresh album just a year after making history at the Nova Scotia Music Awards. Last November, Costelo became the first female producer to take home Producer of the Year among a slew of other awards and nominations for her self-produced album Down Below The Status Quo.

Erin Costelo Partners With Amelia Curran To Produce Studio Documentary
Erin Costelo, the award-winning singer, songwriter and performer who recently made history by being the first woman to take home the 2017 Music Nova Scotia award for Producer of the Year, is setting out to make an album. She’s going to record an album of original material, she’s going to do it in a unique timbre-frame house in rural Nova Scotia, and she’s going to complete it all in just ten days. Because that’s not pressure enough, Juno award-winner Amelia Curran is going to produce a studio documentary about the whole process. Understandably, she wouldn’t mind a little help.
