Like A Motorcycle Find Last Minute Top Bidder For ECMA Prize
Earlier this month Halifax’s Like A Motorcycle took home an East Coast Music Award for “Rising Star Recording Of The Year”. It was an exciting night, with the band performing on the Gala Stage at Saint John’s Harbour Station just before receiving the award. It was presumed that, as with all ECMAs the award would be given a position of honour over the fireplace, to be enjoyed by generations of Motorcycles to come. Instead, the band announced that they would be selling off their former future heirloom as soon as they could in support of Phoenix Youth Programs. The 2017 East Coast Music Award Winners
Saint John wasted no time getting into the East Coast Music Awards. The culmination of several months of buzz came to a forefront on Wednesday with bands taking the stage on the Boardwalk, Market Square being dominated by RADIO ECMA, and Sanctuary Theatre playing host to Forward Music Groups 10th anniversary show. FeelsGood Bring Underground “No Case” Show To East Coast Music Week
Saint John is about to become the most musical city on the East coast. East Coast Music Week is going to mean a lot more than just the East Coast Music Association. While the main event will be bringing a lot of attention to the city, there will plenty of limelight spilling over, and lots of musicians eager to soak it up.
