Queen Of The Andes is the debut film written and directed by Jillian Acreman. The film was released in 2020 and has garnered an impressive amount of recognition, including the Best Canadian First Feature Award at the 2021 Victoria Film Festival.
Fredericton’s official winter music festival, Shivering Songs Festival, has announced a stellar lineup for their 2022 rendition. Following the very necessary “hyperlocal” focus of 2021 that required performing artists to live within the greater Fredericton area, this year’s festival is making welcome steps to bring in artists from further afield.
At its recent annual meeting, the New Brunswick Arts Board (artsnb) elected Victoria Hutt as its new Chair. She succeeds Alain Boisvert, who was elected in late November of 2020 and served in this role to the end of his second mandate on the board.
