James Mullinger’s Comedy Boot Camp Gets Second Season – Demands Fresh Meat

James Mullinger is no slackard. In terms of the sheer volume of output he might be the hardest working person in the Maritimes. From comedy shows, to fundraisers, to television series, to films, he is going non-stop. I can truthfully say that I have never seen him sleep. The prospect of having him as a drill sergeant seems almost terrifying, if he weren’t so determined to make you laugh. There’s a very real potential to get that firsthand experience though, as James Mullinger’s Comedy Boot Camp is getting a second season on Bell Aliant TV1, and they’re looking for new recruits. Theatre New Brunswick is back with it’s first show of the 2016-2017 season, A Sunday Affair. Telling a story spanning 60 years of the relationship between a small town’s lonely priest (Mathieu Chouinard) and his sole parishioner, an equally lonely woman who’s in love with him (Miriam Fernandes), A Sunday Affair is sure to delight audiences. In Review: Saint John Theatre Company’s ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’

While most Canadians were at home napping off their Thanksgiving dinner, the Saint John Theatre Company opened their 2016-2017 Studio Series with a dress rehearsal of ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’. Rather pointedly, the audience were made up of immigrants and refugees (with the exception of one theatre reviewer, who does admittedly comes-from-away). All ( though again, with the exception of one reviewer) were invited through YMCA Newcomers – a program which seeks to help the recently relocated settle into and make the best of their new home .
