Faire Communauté/Creating Community: Literary Event Aims to Unite Local Culture and Celebrate Language Diversity

From November 28th through to December 9th, twelve authors from different horizons and across the province will unite to share stories about what culture means to them for all who would like to listen. The Faire Communauté/Creating Community bilingual literary event will be making six stops around New Brunswick in an effort to unite communities, linguistic or otherwise, and celebrate linguistic and cultural diversity. New Brunswick Musicians Rally To Support Living Roots Fundraiser

Fredericton-based festival Living Roots has spent the last three years promoting local bands, often putting on shows at Grimross Brewing Co. and, of course, throwing their annual festival in late May. Erin Costelo Partners With Amelia Curran To Produce Studio Documentary

Erin Costelo, the award-winning singer, songwriter and performer who recently made history by being the first woman to take home the 2017 Music Nova Scotia award for Producer of the Year, is setting out to make an album. She’s going to record an album of original material, she’s going to do it in a unique timbre-frame house in rural Nova Scotia, and she’s going to complete it all in just ten days. Because that’s not pressure enough, Juno award-winner Amelia Curran is going to produce a studio documentary about the whole process. Understandably, she wouldn’t mind a little help. Shivering Songs Announce 2018 Line-Up

Shivering Songs, Fredericton’s midwinter festival of songwriting and storytelling are gearing up for this year’s edition and have announced the 2018 lineup. Now in their eighth year, Shivering Songs have earned their reputation as connoisseurs of fine song and songcraft, bringing in acts that tend to the poetic side of things.
