Welcome to the end of September! Festival season is officially behind us and now we’re wading ear-deep through one of the busiest album-release seasons of the year. This isn’t even all of them, just the albums that we had time to get to. There are, in fact, only so many notes the human ear can hear in the course of an evening.

Nova Scotia Music Week: Jenn Grant Takes Seven Nominations, Port Cities And Rose Cousins Follow With Six

Nova Scotia Music Week isn’t until November but, as part of their fair and democratic process, they’ve announced their 2017 nominees, giving members two weeks to decide who they will vote for. Monthly Roundup: August 2017

August is always a crazy month for us. We’re not entirely over festival season, but we are over the hump. It’s a time when we return to our desks and start grinding through the thousands of photos we’ve taken, work through the memories that are nearly coherent thoughts, and finally stop scratching at those mosquito bites we were told wouldn’t happen because somebody made some really amazing essential oils that could do everything from curing the common cold to ending student debt.
