Monthly Roundup: September 2018

Summer is over, the trees have engaged in their equivalent of seasonal immolation, and we are done with festivals. We can happily work from our desks and sleep in our own beds. Anything short of throwing a festival in an apple orchard that’s willing to serve us an extra thanksgiving dinner and you can consider us out. Chloé Breault and The Hypochondriacs Lead Nominations for 2018 Prix MNB Awards

Music NB have announced their list of nominees for their 2018 Prix MNB Awards. Leading the way are Acadian singer-songwriter Chloé Breault and Fredericton rockabilly band The Hypochondriacs with six nods each, followed by Shaun Ferguson and The Olympic Symphonium with five nominations each.

List of Nominees Announced for 2018 Music Nova Scotia Awards

Music Nova Scotia have revealed their nominees for the upcoming 2018 Music Nova Scotia Awards that will be presented during the Nova Scotia Music Week held in Truro, Nova Scotia from November 1st-4th, 2018. Monthly Roundup: August 2018

Another month of back-to-back heatwaves and festivals upon festival, it’s safe to say we are ready for a nap and are welcoming September with open arms. That’s not to say August hasn’t been a fantastic month filled with all of the fun, adventure, and fantastic local music we could ask for—along with a fair amount of driving—we just miss sleeping in our own beds.
