Wonderful Lie is a passion project that incorporates covers of classics as well as a handful of Martin’s original tracks. The arrangement has been stripped down to basics for the most part. New Music: The Charm is in the Details of Corey Isenor’s ‘Absinthe & Smoke’
For someone with a more folk-leaning background, Corey Isenor seems to have settled comfortably into his new folk-pop style on Absinthe & Smoke. Isenor’s gentle voice, coupled with the dramatic flair of the instrumentals is reminiscent of The Mountain Goats, or even The Red Hot Chili Peppers if they decided to go in a more muted direction.
