David Myles released his single “Leave Tonight” early this month, giving us an intimate glimpse into the energy that can be shared between two people, but his new video goes one step further. Myles shares with us his private warm-up rituals, the proper method for having your suit rotated and aligned, and the correct procedure for maintaining a swagger in a skinny tie.
“Leave Tonight” does a lot to celebrate Myles’s moves and his love of dance, all in the middle of a very real Toronto dance contest.
“A couple months ago, I was in Toronto and a buddy told me about a dance contest going on that night downtown. I love dancing. I really love it. Always have,” says Myles. “That said, I’ve certainly never entered a dance contest. Now the timing just felt too right. I’m almost 40. What did I have to lose? THEN, it hits us. What if we filmed the whole night and made it a music video for ‘Leave Tonight’? So we did. And let’s just say, I left everything I had out on that dance floor.”
David Myles’ Leave Tonight, his 12th studio album, is out May 8th 2020 via Little Tiny Records.
