The Cavendish Beach Music Festival presented by Bell have just announced two more of their 2020 festival line-up: chart-topping, platinum-selling headliners Brett Young and multiple JUNO and CCMA Award winning Dallas Smith, who, if you lived through the heyday of Much Music, you’ll also remember as the frontman for Canadian hard rock band Default.
Brett Young exploded with a platinum-certified entrance in 2016 with his #1 hit, “Sleep Without You,” followed by three more chart-topping singles (“In Case You Didn’t Know”, “Like I Loved You” and “Mercy”) from his self-titled debut album. “In Case You Didn’t Know” even managed the honour of being the second most purchased country single of 2017.
Smith, aside from his fame as the frontman for Default, is also one of Canada’s most celebrated country musicians. In 2019 he won two CCMA Awards: Entertainer of Year and Male Artist of the Year. Smith is also unique as the first and only Canadian Country artist to have eight #1singles – four of which ran as consecutive chart toppers. Smith closed out the decade as the most-played artist on Canadian Country radio in 2019.
Young and Smith are the two final headliners to be named for Cavendish Beach Music Festival and will be joining previously announced headliners Miranda Lambert and Dan + Shay.
Also announced for the festival’s weekend line-up are chart-topping singer-songwriter Chris Lane, CCMA Award-winner Tim Hicks, Mitchell Tenpenny, Blanco Brown, Carly Pearce, JoJo Mason, Tebey, Niko Moon, Steven Lee Olsen, Willie Jones, and The Redhill Valleys.
Festival organizers say there are still several more artists yet to be announced for the festival’s 2020 line-up, with news of the remaining line-up expected to be announced in the weeks leading up to the Cavendish Beach Music Festival presented by Bell.
Tickets and camping packages go on sale now. Weekend passes start at $179.99+ taxes and service fees and are available via cavendishbeachmusic.com. Cavendish Beach Music Festival merchandise will also be available for purchase on the website.
