From his album Up Against The Sky Dave Gunning has released his single “All That’s Yet To Come,” which might be alluding to the series of summer dates he’s just announced that’ll put him through a slew of festivals over the next month.
In a polished and catchy package, Gunning advocates for the value of remaining honest — with ourselves and with others — and staying positive through all life throws at us.
Singing, “This is who you are, this is what you’ve done. Be proud of the past and all that’s yet to come,” the song promotes the idea of not carrying the weight of the past on your shoulders and believing that the future will be good to you.
With its slow and steady beat, the track carries a soft folk tune with a feel-good edge.
“This song is about staying true to who you are, being honest, putting things into motion and being prepared for what may come,” says Gunning.
“We can all create positive change in our own little ways that, in the end, might make the world just a little bit better. So I guess this means that we can really change the world. So here’s to you and the good that you do. Keep it going and love every moment of it all.”
Life isn’t always predictable, but we can face it head on with a sense of readiness and a positive attitude to make the challenges feel a little lighter.
