Living Roots, Fredericton’s music festival of up-and-comers, is returning for its fourth annual instalment from May 30th to June 2nd, 2019. Hosting shows in some of the city’s musical hubs and a handful of conventional venues, Living Roots will be popping up at a dozen different venues around Fredericton, plus their satellite venue in Harvey Station’s The Loch Pub & Grill.
As of today, we know who you can catch at this year’s festival.
Living Roots has built a reputation as a cozy corner of the Canadian festival map for performers and attendees alike. Putting community first and cultivating strong relationship with musicians, both domestic and foreign, is showing lots of returns for the festival.
“You will see some familiar names on the list of artists,” says organizer Eddie Young. “Some of these acts are welcome to play every year as long as they want because they truly represent and embrace what we are all about.”
“One of the regular performers has decided to bring his parents out east from Ontario because he loves it so much and wants to share the incredible experience.”
Topping the bill for this year’s festival are Hawksley Workman, Alicia Toner, Del Barber, Greg MacPherson, Gutter Demons, The Motorleague, and a special performance from The Tortoise The Hare & The Millionaire, who will be recreating The Allman Brothers’ famous Live at the Fillmore album.
