Music NB have announced their list of nominees for their 2018 Prix MNB Awards. Leading the way are Acadian singer-songwriter Chloé Breault and Fredericton rockabilly band The Hypochondriacs with six nods each, followed by Shaun Ferguson and The Olympic Symphonium with five nominations each.
Each year Music/Musique NB present thirty awards to artists and industry professionals who have made an impact on New Brunswick’s overactive music industry. The 9th edition of the Prix MNB Awards takes place in Caraquet, New Brunswick on October 25 as part of the four-day long Festival (506) music festival and conference.
“Our Prix MNB Awards jurors’ job is getting harder and harder every year. The number and variety of submissions are increasing, and the quality is rising. It’s great to see a lot of artists getting their first nod this year,” says Music NB’s executive director Jean Surette.
