Larlee Creek Hullabaloo Announces 2017 Headliners

New Brunswick is getting a reputation as the land of a thousand festivals. Believe us, there’s no shortage of them to keep you bouncing from one tent strewn field to another all summer long. Larlee Creek Hullabaloo might be a little further afield than we usually venture, but you’ve certainly heard of it. Not only is it fun to say ‘Hullabalo’ but they’re now in their 10th year. Now the festival has told us who they’ll be celebrating it with.

The festival aims to promote the arts in mid-western New Brunswick. It’s an area where very few live performance venues exist – as a result locals often have to travel outside the area for their regular dose of culture. The Larlee Creek Hullabaloo counteracts that by promoting the work of local, regional and Atlantic Canadian artists. They’re doing a decent job of it this year by bringing in some big names like Ria Mae, The Wooden Sky, Matt Minglewood and more…

Larlee Creek Hullabaloo will also feature performances by Christine Campbell, Pretty Archie, Kendra Gale, Gary Sappier Blues Band, and Red Hot Dog Express.

The festival includes several free community concerts, workshops, a youth Rock Camp, a children’s musical playground, and even a river cruise. The location will also feature food vendors and artisans.

“Our audience can expect to see a variety of performances throughout the village of Perth-Andover during festival week including intimate river boat cruises, collaborative workshops and performances, not only on festival grounds, but at local businesses and community spaces. You might even find a few surprises along the way,” says Heidi Baird, artistic director of the Larlee Creek Hullabaloo.

“We feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to bring such a diverse lineup of artists to our community for the last nine years, and this year will be no exception. We were one of the province’s best kept secrets for a number of years, but the secret is out and we can’t wait to welcome our audience back to Perth-Andover to celebrate ten years!”

Larlee Creek Hullabaloo takes places August 9th-13th, 2017. Tickets are available now at www.larleecreekmusic.ca.
