Back for its third year toted as the May Run Music Festival, Music PEI will again bring together artists, musicians and industry execs to Bell Alliant Canadian Song Conference, this May 10-14th, at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel. Music PEI is committed to showcasing our Island talent to a worldwide music community.
An interesting and inspiring time to be in Charlottetown, conference goers will have the chance to attend workshops, sessions, and participate in panels with world-class music industry professionals. Platforms will include building revenue streams, maximizing the benefits of social media, and negotiating contracts. The conference also presents artists opportunities to engage with executives in private meetings and listening sessions.
As the industry biz gets jiggy with it, there will be offerings for music lovers all over town. In PEI, it always feels like it’s our own mini ECMAs, with people traveling around from show to show, giving each other high fives, the festival buzz in the air. It should be noted that the festival has two all ages shows, as well as Jazz, Contemporary, Rock, Pop, Country and Singer/ Songwriter styles in venues both in Charlottetown and Summerside, so there’s something for everyone.
