If you’re reading this then let’s assume congratulations are in order: you survived 2016! Seriously, every time I see a celebrity’s name even come up in the feed I’m subjected to a tiny panic attack. While there wasn’t a whole lot for us to like about this year, and very little that we’d really want to remember, thankfully there were at least a few highlights. Here are our most popular posts from 2016.
Most Popular News Pieces:
#5) Saint John gets a whole bar dedicated to whisky and jackalopes. Its popularity says much about local interests.
#4) Foghorn Brewing Company opens in Rothesay, saves a whole four minutes for many residents instead of travelling all the way to the liquor store.
#3) James Mullinger keeps busy making the province a hotspot for comedy, but changes the focus of the biggest comedy show in New Brunswick with the passing of friend and fellow comedian Lloyd Ravn.
#2) Saint John gets a music festival, filling the gap after the loss of Salty Jam, but mostly just starts a cult following for July Talk.
#1) We’re clearly working on a theme here. Picaroons made a huge jump this year not only building a larger brewery in Fredericton, but also opening up two smaller locations in Saint John and St Stephen.
