We hope you enjoyed Matt Mays’ last album – the one he liked so liked so much that he recorded it twice – because he’s bringing it to you as a dichotomic live show. After a succesfful little jaunt off to AmericanaFest in Nashville, TN and Iceberg Alley in St. John’s, NL, Mays has added a bunch of tour dates, and released a live performance video of “Station Out of Range” to entice you.
You may recall back in 2017, when Mays released Once Upon a Hell of a Time…, the sweaty bar room blues rock album we’ve come to expect from Mays, followed a year later by Twice Upon a Hell of a Time…, the acoustic reimagining of the same album. That’s the sweet and salty flavour Mays says he’ll be bringing to this extended run of dates on his Howl at the Night Tour.
The video released for “Station Out of Range” gives us taste of what’s come. Shot earlier this summer at the Hayloft Dancehall in Picton, ON, the features Mays and one hell of a band giving a very polished live performance of the song.
As an added bonus, he’s extended his upcoming tour dates, which also feature special guest (and one of our new favourites) Skye Wallace.
