Halifax Pop Explosion Music Festival and Conference pride themselves as a festival of discovery: pushing off the beaten path to bring new and emerging (and quickly skyrocketing) artists to Halifax, Nova Scotia, all while bolstering them with a healthy stable of local talents. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that they’re throwing two-time Polaris prize shortlisters Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Haviah Mighty, and Elisapie onto their 2019 line-up either.
“Every year we are so excited to bring incredible artists to Halifax who might not otherwise come,” says James Boyle, Executive Director of the Halifax Pop Explosion. “Teaming them up with some of our best local talent, we’re able to present extraordinary programming that really shines a light on what makes this city, and this province so special.”
