Stephen Lewis has handed the internet a gift of some of it’s favourite fodder: a funky mash-up video.
The video combines Pink Floyd’s ‘Another Brick In The Wall’, K-OS’s ‘Man I Used To Be’, and Biggie Small’s ‘Juicy’. Lewis, a talented musician, and naturally funky individual chose to release the new video on the day of his 27th birthday. It comes as a bit of a celebration with an uplifting message; having battled with his weight, Lewis brought himself back from depression and death’s door, losing over 160 lbs through yoga and healthy living. He plays with Notorious B.I.G.’s lyrics, rapping:
‘Lunches, brunches, interviews by the pool
Considered a fool ’cause I dropped out of high school
Stereotypes of a fat male misunderstood
And it’s still all good’
Lewis is joined by fellow New Brunswick musicians Jonah Hachè (guitar) and Marco LeBrenton (drums). The video was produced by Andrew Kelly of SAMEASFOREVER.photo and the audio was produced by the illustrious Jay Merrill of Gordon Gets Lost.
